The Importance Of Taking A Day Off For Yourself

For the past few months I have been going to war with myself as to whether or not I could afford to take a day off during the week, not to do anything particular, but just to have a day to myself. The weekends always tend to fill up with checklists and when your in a relationship, those days are spent tackling tasks together and sometimes it is nice to have a day all to yourself. Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor – Brookings, OR

Brookings, Oregon is one of my favorite locations in the PNW, for simple reasons such as the beauty and the both Oregon and California coastal feel. Brookings is on the beautiful southern Oregon coast, just thirty minutes from The Redwood Forest in California. The main attraction here is the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, which is several stops right before you enter into the city off of the famous highway 101. It is a total of 12 miles along the Oregon coast trail and all views can be accessed through simply walking the trail. If you have planned this out beforehand,…

The day/night of Halloween is known to be the day that releases the barrier between the dead and our…

Blessed To Live In The Pacific Northwest

Every state we’ve explored has been so different from the last, and each one is beautiful in it’s own unique way. But traveling further south through the hot, empty and beautiful roads of Nevada and to Idaho, I can proudly say that I am happy to live in the Pacific Northwest. Once we entered southern California, towards Nevada, it was like a fight against the heat. The water really didn’t taste the same and the water crisis was even more severe. We begged for a river, a beach, lake, anything to cool ourselves down, but all around us were dried up creeks…
